Paeonia lactiflora hybrid 'Lorelei' – Bare Root
Paeonia 'Lorelei' is a highly sought-after variety known for its unique color among peonies. The densely packed flowers start with a bright orange-pink shade that fades into light apricot-pink. The lower petals remain dark pink throughout. The buds are oval, which is quite rare. Plant shallowly in deep, nutrient-rich soil, preferably with some clay content.
Height: 85 cm.
Blooming period: July.
Hardiness: Zone 4 (5).
Planting location: Full sun to partial shade.
Size: 3-5 eyes.
If you can't plant it now, place the tuber in a plastic pot. The soil should be slightly moist, but no watering during winter. Place the pot outdoors by a wall under cover, or in an unheated shed/storage. In April-May, the peony can be planted in the garden.
Autumn planting: Dig a hole at least 50 cm deep and wide. Mix compost or rose soil with existing soil and add Zetas bulb fertilizer. Place the root at an angle with the buds facing up and cover with about 5 cm of soil. Water thoroughly.
