Paeonia Itoh lactiflora hybrid 'Julia Rose' – Bare Root.
Paeonia Itoh 'Julia Rose' is a unique rarity. It produces single to semi-double flowers, starting with a raspberry pink color that fades into a soft champagne hue as it blooms. This wonderful color combination is especially striking when the plant has multiple flowers that transition through different shades. Thanks to its long stems, it also makes an excellent cut flower. Plant in deep, nutrient-rich, well-drained, yet moist, lime-rich clay soil.
Height: approx. 70-80 cm.
Blooming period: July.
Hardiness: Zone 4 (5).
Planting location: Full sun to partial shade.
Size: 3-5 eyes.
If you can't plant it now, place the tuber in a plastic pot. The soil should be slightly moist, but no watering during winter. Place the pot outdoors by a wall under cover, or in an unheated shed/storage. In April-May, the peony can be planted in the garden.
Autumn planting: Dig a hole at least 50 cm deep and wide. Mix compost or rose soil with existing soil and add Zetas bulb fertilizer. Place the root at an angle with the buds facing up and cover with about 5 cm of soil. Water thoroughly.
