- CARE GUIDE
Opium Poppy 'Bowling Ball' is a hardy poppy that is grown as much for its lovely, palm-sized flowers as for the beautiful seed pods it produces when it has finished flowering. These become marvellous once they have dried and are then useful in arrangements of various kinds. Growers of this poppy can therefore enjoy it throughout the growing season, from budding to flowering and finally the seed pods, which will brighten up the garden throughout the winter. The flowers are raspberry red with an oat-coloured centre, and at the bottom of the bowl-shaped flower the petals have plum-coloured spots.
